Tilted pipe cutout in plate

Hello, Please find the attached drg. There you will see a nozzle (pipe) projecting from the plate (it has 2 angular dimension). The pipe is 406 mm OD i am not able to make the cutout in the plate (as the cutout is to be made first in plate ). Thought that inventor can do it , but i am new to inventor, some how not able to extract from it. Step by step procedure appreciated. many thanks in advance.

If you file/s won't attached try one of these

1) Check that Internet explore IS NOT in compatibility view and resend

OR

2) use GOOGLE CHROME to attached files ( this is usually the best option.

3) The file is to big zip it and try again.

From personal experience IE11 has some, well quite a few, compatibility problems with this and other sites as bid IE10 but most of those were fixed.

3 solutions

1. multi-body solids

2. derived components

3. edit in context of assembly and Copy Object surface for trimming.

Any one of the 3 techniques will work.

Which one of the three methods above (1, 2 or 3) do you want to have demonstrated with this assembly?

(technique #1 is the easiest for beginners)
