Is it possible to show the deformed nature of a shaft after loading along its axis and simulation of the part. If you take as an example a rod of plastecine and stretch it you will see the centre section thinning, the same laws apply to a rod of steel during stretching, why is it that this is not shown during the
simulation of the part,is it mesh settings or something that is not built into the analysis. When one applies loadings to sheet metal the deformation is clearly shown.
Any comments please.

Hi!
No. Simulation results only gives you a visual scheme of the resultant forces. Does not deform the 3D model.
Even if the force is enough to break the part, it will show you where the part will break (by a scheme of colors), but the 3D model will remain in one piece.
