I just wanted to throw out a thought considering the very sad news of Dennis passing this past weekend.
I've known Dennis for many years and talked either by phone or email with him on a semi-regular basis.
If you ever dealt with Dennis you are well aware that he was always willing to go the extra mile to help you out.
Would it be too much to ask that we consider something along the lines of a Dennis Jeffrey Award that can be given out to a person here who in the spirit of Dennis, goes the extra mile to help people solve thier issues?
Maybe even go as far as have it be something along the lines of a free pass to the next AU?
Considering all he's done for ADesk and this community, I think it's only fitting.
Just a thought.
I like it. There are a lot of helpful folks in here.

OMG, what a shock!! He was a big help to me over the last few years.
One time when having a problem with my systems crashing, and working on a hot job, he offered to meet me half-way to his place to loan me a computer.
Rest in peace Dennis. My condolenses to his family.

This is so so sad!!!! He has always gone the extra mile to help the users and myself.
This is a great idea............ to keep the memory of such a great person alive.
This is such a great loss to all of us. RIP Dennis.
All my condolences to his family and close friends.

I guess the question now is...how do we go about doing so?
Anyone from Autodesk.....can you point me in the right direction?
Would ADesk be interested in this?
Great idea. Perhaps forming a nomination process, an award board for candidate selection, and presenting it at AU in Las Vegas?
Well, I just sent off a request to ADesk for help in getting this idea to become a reality.
Let's hope the powers that be at Adesk feel the same way we do and move this forward.
Just in case Adesk isn't sure how important Dennis was to all of us here, can I get everyone to simply add a post, even a blank post here as a way of signing a petition of sorts in favor of this idea? (please add your name only once, thanks)
Please, let's make this post the most replies we can to show our support to honor Dennis Jeffrey.
Thanks
P.S. Yes, I feel this award should be handed out at AU each year.
Dennis was a great help to many people!
This has my vote of approval...

I'll throw my hat in. Good guy and I think of him when scrolling through the list of contacts in my Outlook program. His name will stay there.

Huge loss to the Autodesk Community, and beyond.
