Text will not stack

Recently I had to re-install Inv 2011.  Before I did this, I could stack my text.  After re-install, it asked for my atuostack options (which i entered), and clicked "Do Not Show Again".  Afterwhich the text did not stack (which is the opposite of what i told it to do).  Now I cannot stack text at all.  Even if i highlight, right click, and select stack - it doesn't stack.  If I open a prevoius drawing with stacked text it shows stacked text, but if you edit the text field it shows the text as \S<1/70>3#8\s for 3/8.  Any suggestions?

Coincedently someone on another user group had the same problems after installing 2012. I have done that too. I tried repairing 2010 with no luck. Still not working.

I am having the exact same problem with Inventor 2011. No luck fixing it yet. Hopefully someone will come up with something soon. Im running a 64-bit version of Windows 7.

...come to think of it I think of it that problem might have started after I had installed 2012. Im still using 2011 as we need to update our server to vault 2012 before I can use inventor 2012.. so I currently have both 2011 and 2012 installed.

Same here, I have both 2010 and 2012 and it was right after installing 2012 I started to have the problem with 2010 text stacking.

I'm having the exact same problems with stacked text as well. I too just installed 2012 while still using 2011 until a Vault migration. This problem for me started AFTER the installation of 2012 as well. It appears that the side-by-side installation of 2012 and a previous version is causing this. Does anyone have just 2012 installed and still having the problems w/ the stacked text function?

I eventually switched completely over to 2012.  I never heard anything from Autodesk on this.  Looks like if you install 2012 while still using an older version you lose text stacking in the older version, but so far there haven't been any problems with stacking in 2012.  Oh well, I guess there's no fix for this.

has anyone tried reinstalling or repairing the older versions?

i'm afraid to alter my registry using the method for 2012 as mentioned as it might cause irreversible damage. so can anyone help me with this?

Hi Hanns,

It should just work. It seems that some settings were set incorrectly. Please take screenshots of Stack Options (highlight selected text -> right-click -> Properties -> Stack Properties.

Many thanks!
