text problems with Richo printer

Printer: Ricoh Aficio 1018 PCL 6
Fired up the new printer today and downloaded latest drivers from Mfg.
The text in idw are thrown all over the place, but the preview is correct.
This printer works fine with other programs.

Look under the printer properties (in start/settings/printers) and find
"print text as graphics". Check this box.

Thanks Sean, I was able to fix the problem by NOT using the printer's fonts
and didn't have to resort to bit map.

I am having the same problem on a Sharp AR-M450N, but we don't have that option in the printer settings. What do I do now? It printed fine on the HP Laserjet 5Si and we just got the Sharp. It also works fine on our Designjet 500PS in text or image.

Also, can Autodesk add a search option to their discussion groups. With discovering a new problem each day with Inventor 6 it would be very helpful and time saving to have this feature since there are so many problems.

If you'd use a news client (such as Outlook
Express, XNews, Forte Agent, to name but a few) you can search the NG for
messages.

I was able to solve my printing problems
(Richo) by using the CD that came with the printer instead of using the
printer folder to add a printer.
