text moves with view

Is there a way to place a note in a idw view and have it move with the view without having to attach a leader line?

I figured it out, attach a sketch to that view and place the text within that sketch..

pick leader text icon - click on view - RMB continue - type your text - hit
ok. you can reposition your text anywhere and it will move with the view.

How can I do the same with sketched symbols I
wonder? IV won't let me insert a symbol in

any kind of drawing sketch that I can see. Actually
though, what I would really like to do is

attach a symbol to a dimension so that it would
move with the dimension, not neccessarily

with the view. Anyway this could be done
either?

Use the toolbutton to place the sketched symbol with a leader and then edit it and remove
the leader.
