Text garbage everywhere

Group,
Suppose many of you see the same, but maybe one has some help:
We did a bunch of iwds in the last days, and randomly text is
displayed/printed as garbage, like some characters replaced by nonsense
ones, space and adjoining first character of next word mixed up, and the
like.
One day it works, the other day it doesnot. Works on one PC, doesn't on the
other.
Very,very frustrating.

Regards,

Something to do with fonts / IV corrupting them. I have had this on 3 separate machines now, and it
is simply a case of deleting the Truetype font from the affected machines and replacing it with a
healthy font (from a machine that has not had IV6 installed preferably).

Does this have anything to do with the "print text as graphics" set to ON?

John,
Yes, it smells like a font problem - but maybe not a corruption, as this
seems to heal itself randomly...and it happens on Win2k machines as well as
on WinNT4.
