Task Scheduler idw 2 dwg

I need to convert about 50 idw files to dwg files. I need to convert to 2004 file format. Task scheduler is set for 2008. (I'm using IVPro 2008).

How do I change default prameters to save in a different file format?

Thanks,
Dave

Save one file manually using the settings you need.

Unfortunately the Options button in TS has limited functionality 😞

Duncan,

Thanks, not the easiest procedure to get what is needed, but it works. Took a few trys.

Much appreciated with pointing me in the direction.

Thanks,
Dave

hi Dave,

Task Scheduler can control over the version of the exported DXF/DWG files. It is controled by a DXF or DWG configuration file which can be created by user. You can use the follow steps to creat your DXF/DWG configuration file.
1. Launch Inventor and new an idw file.
2. Save copy as the idw file, and set the "save as type" as AutoCAD Drawings(*.dwg).
3. Click options button.
4. Select the "Configuration Not Saved" in configuration jump down list and select the file version(AutoCAD 2004 Drawing) which you want.
5. Click next button to Export Destination dialog.
6. Click "Save Configuration..." button to save the ini file.

Then you can use the DWG configuration file to control the exported DWG file's version.

Hope this can help you.

Thanks
Colin
