Defining yourself a custom Task Scheduler task is probably the way you want to go, if you are not afraid of some programming Smiley Wink

You might want to read my support blog article where I use iLogic rules in a custom task in Task Scheduler.

The same mechanism (with some extra work) can be used for running macros via a custom task.

Not sure what you mean with "silently". You don't want to bring up Inventor API and use Apprentice API instead , or you want to run Inventor in silent mode? Both can be done depending on teh actiosn you want to perform on the files.

Have a look at KwikBatchRun here http://kwikmcad.com/icode/KWiKBatchRun_64/KWiKBatchrun_64.aspx

I use it and it works great. Only $20 USD per seat. No affiliation, just a happy user of the program.
