yes lets say I want to add a field for a piece of bar stock 2" in dia. x 10" long. How do I add the dia. symbol before the 2.00" dimension?

You have to fudge it by using Windows Character Map. Once you find the
characters you use, you can use the "ALT" shortcuts.

ALT+0176 is the degree symbol
ALT+0177 is symmetric deviation
