switch visibility off through whole assembly?

another way:
How can I make my models invisible through whole assembly?

If I turn visibility off in subassembly, it hides component only that exact assembly not above. Representation works also like that.

As long as the design vew rep you are changing the visibility state of parts on in subassemblies is active in the top level assemblies the state of visibility should update.

In your top level assembly RMB on the subassembly and pick representation. Does it correspond to the sub's design view rep which the visibility of the parts you want off?
