Sweep crating edge on a 3D sketch and no centerline

Hi,

Sweep crating an edge and not an centerline when I try to sweep a pipe.

This causes problem when I try to constrain a tube clamp to the pipe, because it want to mate with this edge that is outside the pipe. Aney suggestions?

If you have sweeped a circular profile using the mate constraint you will be able to select centerline to constrain axis.

You can use the insert constraint. You can  create work axis... but simple mate  it will works.

Hi,

I figured it out. The plane the 2D sketch and the 3D sketch was not normal to each other, so probaly it genrated an elpise and not an curcular sweep.

Problem with the imported step file that had an surface that was a bit offsett to the orginal plane in degrees.

But thanks anyway!

Sincerely
