I'm trying to sweep a cut along the face of a part to get a surface similar to the finish shown here:
I created an equation curve and a profile to sweep, but it gives me an error when I try to complete the sweep.
Any suggestions on how to achieve this, or what's wrong with my approach?
Thanks again for all the help!

Is there a reason you used Equation Curve rather than Coil-Spiral?
No reason other than not knowing how to do it. Haha.
How would you do it?
I found another topic solved by you now that I searched for the right term. Same application too it turns out. 🙂
Thanks for the help.
Hi Eide,
I believe the equation curve may have G2 singularity at either end. The curve is mathematically correct. But, due to geometric tolerance, the actual geometry cannot be made. The quickest fix is to change the parameter range from 0 to 0.001 (on either end). If it still does not work, please share the file here. Forum experts can help take a look.
Many thanks!
