Hi Everyone
Im now sure what im doing wrong, but for some reason in some large assemblies when i expand sub-assemblies in the browser and then try suppress the sub-assemblies by right clicking, it doesnt allow me to click the suppress button. It shades it out.
It works with some assemblies but not with others.
Does anyone possibly know what im doing wrong? Im sure its something simple.

Based on your screenshot, you did not select the *4175 sub-assemlby for edit. Do that first and then see if you can suppress the MRAT* sub-assemlby.
Another choice: Open the *4175 assembly to create the LOD by suppressing the MRAT* sub. Name the LOD something useful and you can go back to the top level assemlby to call the correct LOD in the *4175 sub-assembly.

You say "large assemblies", might it be that the assembly isn't fully loaded? (opened "express")
I'm leaning towards this too ^^
"express" mode threw me for a couple loops too when I first was exposed to it..
