How about changing the Vertical and Horizontal constrain button in Sketch. Color code them to match the Origin Icon. I am forever trying to remember "was green Horziontal or Vertical?" Thanks Doug DuPont

You know, mine's on down in the corner because
it's not in the way, but I can't ever remember using it for anything. Curious as
to what do you use it for?

Can't remember where I saw it, but the mnemonic is
Red Green Blue -> RGB -> XYZ.

I use the Hor and Ver contrains for hole center marks. I put a bolt hole pattern on a sketch instead of using pattern Components. I use the contrants to line up the marks horizontally and Vertically. Doug

I often use it for measure.

This works very nicely too.

Then when dimensioned properly you can move the
hole pattern fairly easily.

Use "Look at" and click the sketch plan you are working on. The view will align such that vertical is vertical and horizontal is horizontal. This way, you don't need to reference the origin icon.

Kent, could you elaborate some more how you use the origin icon to measure?
Or am I misunderstanding?

That's what I refer to it for as well. Especially when getting x, y, z
deltas.

Just for reference on what the measure tool returns. Depending on what you pick of it
will give you different things, but if you pick a point it will give you x, y, and z and I
use the origin to determine what direction x , y, or z currently is

Thank you Kent, that is very useful information. Now I can measure between parts. Always wondered how to do that easily.
