Style Library on local machine

I am look into using the styles library. We have people that are on and off site.

What I would like to do is keep a master library on the network. Copy the library to a folder on the C:\ then point the style library to that folder.

Then re-copy the library to the folder on the C:\ when changes are made to the master library.

Are there any issues I might see?

Hi Matt,

Recopy when the changes are made is a key step. You can probably try to have
a script of some sort that will push it to all your machines anytime a
change is made.
Also make sure your project is pointing to the right styles library.

I assume you want it locally to avoid any network performance issues...
If you have reasonable network performance, it might still be good to use it
off the network rather than trying to sync to all machines (not sure how
many machine u have) everytime you make a change.

Thanks,
Vijay

We have around 20 machines running IV and our network is T100. I am looking into getting the switches upgraded to T1000, but it will not be soon.

Would you purge all of the existing files? If so have you noticed any problems?

Thanks for the information.
