Stuck in Raster View

So, I have pulled an assembly into an IDW file and I can't seem to get the raster view to turn off. I have saved and closed the original assembly, left it open, and unchecked the "raster view only" check box more times than I care to admit but it's still in raster view. Anyone have any ideas about what the problem might be?
