Stress analysis of thread connection

Hi Guys,

Does inventor take into account threads? I want to do a pull test on BSP thread connection but the surfaces between the threads are shown as "bonded" so I gues that the stress analysis will treat it as one part glued together.

Thanks

Hi!

Your  thoughts are true.

If you want to do a FEA test for this case, you have to model the thread and the bolts as they are in real world.

The Inventor thread is just a image representation, the inventor will look at that as some kind of  weld elements.
