Stress Analysis and multi-body parts

I started to do a stress analysis on my assembly.  When I started the simulation I got the message below

1042i6B4E952C7E52A0EC

The component it is refering to is already in a sub-assembly.  Is there a way around this and just treat the multi-body part as one solid part?

This is in 2011.

you maybe able to edit the mulitbody part features and just switch them from New Body to Join, maybe not though.

..or perhaps Combine and then suppress or delete that feature when done with the analysis.

THANKS!

You will have to go into each part that is a multi-body and (just for the sake of doing a stress ananysis) combine the multi-body.  Then when you are done, move the eof marker up to make the parts multibody again.

Thank you for the quick reply, how would i go about combining multi-body parts?

By using the Combine command.
If multiple ipt files then Derived Component might be the easiest method.
Attach your file(s) here.
