Strange dimension in drawing

Why does one of my dimensions have a box around it?

Boxed Dimension.PNG

The radius of the curve is 30.5 do the dimension should be 61.

What have I done wrong here?

Hi,

Because it is set to "Basic" in tolerance method.

Double click the dimension, go to "Precision and tolerance" tab and change it to "default" if you want it removed.

Actually part of the reason you're not getting 61 you're techanically not grabbing the quadrant, but rather slightly below it ...

Yes your'll hav a radius of 30,5 ...however as you can see in my screencast

I added a sketch of a 61mm circle ..and you can see how it'll miss just slighty

What I see is that the dimension I picked was the dimension at the champfer.

Best to leave that dimension out and work to the radius defined on the section view.

Thanks
