straight staircase

I'm modelling up an elevated platform (3m high) for the factory using frame generator.

I now need to model steps to reach the platform.

Is there an easy way to do this in Inventor? Or will I have to create each step?

Thanks

Show us what you have so far ...

Why can you make one step and pattern it for additional steps ...?

or are you asking if you can do it in Frame Generator?

I could, as you say, make one step and pattern, but i was wondering if there was a way which i could simply key in parameters like:

  • total flight height
  • first riser height
  • tread length

I've attached what I've created so far, its by no means great! The tubing/beam size is not ideal.

it would be nice to accomplish this in frame generator.

Sorry I used mine model for a reference ...getting ready to leave for work this morning

You could make that a parameter or Ilogic and just have it run as needed ...

sometimes the simple things don't need to be automated in my opinion ...

however to answer yes ....

go into your Fx/Parameters and add them like this :

fx.PNG

you can use those values in your pattern

fx2.png

or in Ilogic coding with a popup asking for the values
