STG_E_FILENOTFOUND ($80030002)

STG_E_FILENOTFOUND ($80030002) is the error message that appears when
opening my assy. I openend this assy in INV 6, since it was created in INV
5.3, it started migrating. I saved it and now I can't open it anymore in
INV6. Anyone an idea?

Regards,

Jos

Nope, never seen that message before.
Not very informative is it??
Are you given a chanse to resolve the missing file?

Try to pinpoint the problemfile by opening subassys and single parts.
If you cant pinpoint the problem, you can
1: wait for SP1 (appr 15 nov) and see if this solves it.
2: restore the 5.3-files from backup and work in 5.3, or try to migrate it again.

That is precisely the alert (!) message you get when trying to open an Iv6
file in Iv5.3.

This one just hit me. I tried to duplicate the error but couldn't. Spooky.

Sounds like you try to import something, a dwg-file?
Try go to Tools>Application Options and add a \ (backslash) after the path
pointing to the templates area.

Nothing as exotic as you suggest. What I did was:

1/ Use the migrate utility to migrate a template (a flat bar) from IV5.3
2/ Start a new drawing using the template
3/ Add a sketch to the end of the extrusion. At this point I realized
the grid, as defined by the template, was not what I wanted so I opened
the template and modified the grid. I also modified the grid on the
current part.
4/ Offset the extrusion inward 1/8"
5/ Extrude (remove) the surplus. The intention was that I started with
a 5 x 5 square bar and I wanted to Blanchard grind it to 4 3/4 square.
6/ Save the part. That's where the error occurred.

I couldn't duplicate it but I must confess that I didn't try to
re-migrate the template.

I've had this error a few times since yesterday, anyone know what it is
caused by. I've made no changes to my system at all (as far as I'm aware!)
