Stepped parting lines and Draft

See CF for a generic example of what I need to do.

How do you professional plastic parts designers handle draft and stepped
parting lines?
I'm a bit perplexed at this point in time.

Thanks.

Ron,

I uploaded a file to CF. Part_line_2

The part is not mine, but is something I fixed. The file is a step file
with most removed except for the part you are interested in. It is a
diecast part and the parting line changes from 1 level to the next. Where
the parting line changes between the 2 levels I modeled this section with a
loft.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Stan.

Neil Munro pointed out the solution to me off line.
I put a jpg and the model in CF under yours.

Hi, Ron and Stan
I think the example is tricky, in reality. The outside edges left after
TaperEdge1 and TaperEdge2 are no more straight lines. Perhaps a loft is
still the best way.
