SQL Server & Vault 4

Hi.

Does anyone know witch license of SQL-Server 2000 that is required to run
vault?

And if the CAL- license is needed for each vault client?

The only thing I know about Vault is that there is a separate group for it 🙂

Hi Henrik
Vault comes with a Free MSDE (MS SQL 2000) in the installation. This
installation can later be upgraded to Full SQL - either Standard or
Enterprise, if the need arises. Usually this will come in connection with
having more than 10 users or starting to get bigger metadatabses than 2 GB,
which are the limits of what MSDE allows. Regarding the SQL Licenses - that
is determined according to which License model you are running (Processor,
CAL etc.)

Otherwise I would also suggest you to look in the Vault Newsgroup to follow
the lively discussions over there.

I would pretty much invest in full version of SQL or you'll come to work one morning suprised that vault is not working because you reached the 2GB limit, but you have no idea about it.
