spring constraints

hello, i use inventor 2011 and i want to create a spring animation. I followed this video step by step but when i constrain the upside and the downside of the spring to those plate objects i get an error.

I eventually solved the problem. Now i try to do so that when the came press on the valve to compress the spring. Spring is compressed when i modify the distance between valve and motor unit using drive constraint. What should I do so that when the cam press on valve to compress the spring?  Sorry for my bad english

Attach your assembly here.

I assume  you used Adaptive.  I would not use that technique.

I recommend that you use a Spring Force in Enviroments>Dynamic Simulation.

there is the assembly and its parts:

I don't know how to use Dynamic Simulation.
