Spring and constrainments

Hello,

What is a good way to constrain a spring to a bolt.

In my disign i need a spring around a bolt, but i can't seem to constrain the spring to the bolt. I tried using the insert constrainment, but that also failed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Attach your bolt and spring *.ipt files here.

The usual technique is with a Mate axis-to-axis and a tangent if no ground flat or a Mate if there is a ground flat.

What version of Inventor are you using?

Sure, compression command create a solid,  you can use constraints on it.

But why put that angle constrainment in?
