is there any way to spell check your text in an .IDW file?
Also... How can I arrange my Dimensions so that our Dimension Standards are the standard Style?
Thanks
There is a spell checker included in the SDK.

Autodesk App for Inventor 2013:
My short answer is yes, BUT it is not worth the hassle to use and it has very limited usage. Will not check iProperies, so no title block or parts list. The ruteen has some major quirks in it. You have to enlarge text each time you use it so you can read what it's checking and it will not come to the top of the screen you you have to reduce IV and other programs so you can find it after it has opened. All it is, is a link to the piece of crap MS Word spell checker. Also it has a requirement of Office 2007 or higher if I remember correctly.

PS
THERE IS NO EXCUESS AT THIS POINT FOR NOT HAVING A REAL SPELL CHECKER. IMHO A SPELL CHECKER SHOULD BE THE VERY FIRST MODULE IN ANY CAD OR ANY ENGINERRING PROGRAM. IV"E BEEN ASKING SINCE IV3 FOR ONE, AUTOCAD HAS HAD EVEN A BAD ONE SINCE 94, THERE WERE GREAT ADD-ONS FOR AUTOCAD, THAT WERE CHEAP AT THREE TIMES THEIR PRICE.
Anything going on with this? Or any way of figuring out if there ever will be? It's kind of ridiculous at this point that one is not part of the program.
The quickest way (by far) is to do a round trip between MS Word and IV. Copy-Paste the text from IV to MS Word, do a spell check and then bring the corrected text back to IV. Granted, something similar to what it is in AutoCAD would be better, but in a mean time the round trip works too.
Best Regards,
Igor.

I've given up on them, they are more worried about playing around with the cloud. Then giving us a real usable product to do the job. Besides at my new company we really don't do detail drawings for anything. Step files and a dwg with isso view for any pemserts (Parts list) components. Assy dwg are just a isso view and named views for the assy released as a dwf no parts list.

I wonder if there is any company like Autodesk that has such disimilarities between the basic core functions of products contained in one suite.
Unfortunatley my drawings are detail and note heavy for production. There are not a significant amount of spelling errors...but ONE spelling error in 2014 is significant if you think about it. When someone looks reviews a drawing and finds a stupid mispelling or a couple letters jumbled around in a word and jokingly asks if you turned off your spellcheck...
"Inventor doesn't have one."
"They what?"
The straight AutoCAD guys here got a nice laugh out of it too. They're practically making cave drawings compared to Inventor, but at least their cave wall makes sure they can spell.
I found four matches for the word 'spell'; this one has the most votes:
Update Inventor Drawing Text Editor
It has a status of Accepted (yay)... from two years ago (aww).
I won't hold my breath that it will happen soon.!

PS
You will find my bitch about lack of spell checker on that link too. Iv'e been complaining since release 3. By the way the date was nov 2012 so it has only been one release (2014) since Accepted. Maybe 2015 comming up.
There IS a third party add-in spell checker for Inventor IDws with the added bonus that you don't need to open and file to use it just have IV running.
here ir is Inventor Batch Spell Checker msi.
