Spaceball trial

Hello,
I probably won't get away with this.... but I've got to ask, at the UK
conference on the 25th Sept 3D Connexion were offering a 30 day trial of
their "input devices", I asked for a trial, however I haven't heard anything
from them, has anyone else heard anything, received anything?

You don't need a trial, you'll love it. Just buy one!

Despite many posts as to being able to buy such devices spaceball / mouse
albeit second hand.
I had incredible difficulty in buying a used one in the UK and had to bid
hard for it from Germany.
And probably paid 30/40% of the retail although several years old.
I liken asking for a trial and actually getting the product to the
probability of a free meal from the tax man.
If firms want to sell their products hand out the sample's.
I would buy one new after trying.
You can argue that the cost would not pay for saved time but its a darn site
more comfortable with one.

Got mine through ebay.com from some outfit in Florida. It arrive in
Cheltenham England within 3 days, and including air freight etc was 82
dollars! (2 or 3 years back, FLX3003). The guys in the 'states will probably
say I was ripped off but it was the best 50 quid I've ever spent!

Yea even on ebay the prices are out of hand I saw some while I was trying to
by mine during sept going for more then a place I found in Canada selling
for new. I did finely find one for $160 US, I thought that was too much for
a used one. But then most went for over $250, I would have paid the extra
$50 and got it new.
Also I was looking to get another Marble Fx trackball but most are going for
$20-30 more then I paid for mine new, just not going to do that.

I did notice that a bunch of new Spacemouse's for about $120 that closed
out without even one bid on them. Call me cheap if I had seen them first I
would have gotten one.
