Spaceball - Rotate/Move Object

Since the Spaceball seems to be the hot topic lately, here's a question I
have:

Is it possible to rotate or move parts in an assembly with the spaceball,
like in the Puzzle Demo?
I've been searching through the Help file, but nothing's jumping out at me.

This capability was in Inventor R1 and I think R2. It was removed due
to an issue with transactions. I have not heard anything of late to
suggest it is on the wish list or being considered. It is likely that,
in later builds, they were piling up "transparent" commands that
precluded having non-transparent commands interspersed.
