The Future Is Now. The latest drivers from 3Dconnexion no longer
support my Spaceball 2003 or 3003 models. The last version I have
which did was 3DxWare 3.4.0 Build 3. From the latest driver readme's:
3DxWare for Windows version 3.5 Build 15
September 29, 2003
Windows XP (RC2), Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0 SP6, Windows Me
...
NOTES FROM PREVIOUS RELEASES
From 3.4.3
The SpaceTraveler is now supported.
During installation, SpaceBall 2003, 3003 and Cyberman users are directed to an
upgrade page.
I plan on keeping my 2003 and 3003 spaceball's until they either break or are
no longer recognized by the software I use. Also note that although their web
page states they will continue supporting these devices until March 2004, when
I try to download specific drivers for these devices, I am re-directed to an upgrade
form. Good thing I keep my old downloads.
