solid from surfaces

I'm having trouble creating a solid from different surfaces.

I already tried the surface stich, but it seems that it is still not a solid. (How can I check this?) The part is still yellow...

If I try to apply the sculpt feature it says:

Modeling failure: A valid body cannot be constructed based on the selected inputs.

Can someone help me?

It 's a quiet complex shape. You find here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/whqp4v8ljgm5nra/dGHJhtq36_

Thanks in advance!

sculpt and include the xy plane in your selection.  the symbol in the browser next to the name changes from surface to solid.

its not a great model but might get you out of trouble, somebody will prob give you some pointers how to produce this shape

I don't understand what you mean. If I try to include the xy-plane, but that doesn't help. The same error pops up...

Where in my browers should I look for the symbol?

see the attached part, in the browser pull the end of part marker down to the botton to show the model
