Solid Bodies

Hi

I am using Autodesk Inventor professional 2014 and while part modeling I have several solid bodies. What I want is to assign different materials to different solid bodies.

When I try to do this, it's assigning the material to the whole part.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

-Sunil

Material properties are assigned at the part level.

Go to Manage>Make Components to push out your individual parts from the multi-body solids.

Hi JDMather

Thanks for the reply but I don't want to create a seperate part from the existing part which contains several soli bodies. What I want is to assign different materials to the solid bodies in that part only.

Is there any way to do it?

Thanks

-Sunil
