sketching on gears

Hi,

I've been building a small gearbox for a mechanics project and and have been using the gear design accelerator. I haven't been able to create a new sketch on any of the surfaces after i create the gears though, mainly to make a centre hole, is there an easy way i'm missing?

Also i was looking to make a face worm gear, is there anyway i can make this in inventor?

Thanks for you help.

Albert

Drill down to the part level and open the part to edit.

The Design Accelerator only makes simplified "cosmetic" representation of toothforms.

If you are going to print or manufacture these you might want to investigate exporting the involute toothforms (this has been covered here many times in the past, a search might turn up the relevant discussions).
