Sketch Machining in a Weldment IAM

How to get to perform the sketch "Machining" in a "Weldment IAM", dimensions are referenced to each other (fx) are updated instantly as a "sketch" of a "Normal IPT"?
Thank you very much!

Not sure I quite understand what your asking.

80/2=40, not 45

It would be nice to have the assembly, or even better, a different simple assembly that demonstrates the unexpected behavior can be reproduced from scratch.

Maybe a dumb question here, but are you positive that you (a) clicked on the right dimension for 80?  (i.e., is d118 the 80mm dimension), and if so, then (b) does the fx:45 change to fx:40 after you hit the check mark?

What happens if you use a dimension between the two points, but use a symmetric constraint instead of d118/2 as a dimension?

Other than that, yeah, what JD said - we'd need the assembly and all the sub-parts to really figure it out.

Good morning.
Attached I send you the sample files.
Note that changing the main dimensions of the holes, chained (fx) are updated at the end of the "sketch", but they do not instantly like a "IPT".

Dear LT. Rusty,
It works correctly by running "manually" the Check Mark, but I figured there was something to be automatic. It has helped me a lot your answer also!

Glad you got it sorted out.

The check mark is the "OK" or "APPLY" button for entering dimensions.  If you hit enter after putting in a dimension it should do the same thing.
