In your assembly, create two View Representations, one with only the shaded part visible, the other with all visible except the shaded part.  Also, create a Positional Representation.

In your drawing, place a base view using the "all visible except" view rep, then place an overlay view using the "only shaded part" view rep and the positional rep you created (you have to have that to create an overlay view).  Make that overlay view shaded.

In this scheme, the shaded component doesn't hide things that are behind it, so you still see those lines.  If you want to hide the things behind the shaded part, then don't use the "all visible except" view rep, just use the Default view rep.

Hope this helps.
