Simulation- stress analysis

When performing a stress analysis in the simulation environment is there any way of viewing the calculations to back up the solutions?

Hi Lester86_1,

We don't provide any internal calculations.  However, there are two things you can check to verify a solution:

1)  Use the convergence settings (provide maximum number of h-refinements and stop criteria %) and view the convergence plot (verify the solution has converged within the stop criteria)

2)  View the reaction forces and moments by RMB on a constraint in the browser => Reaction Forces.

Hope this helps...

Thanks, -Hugh

If it helps bolster your confidence we run all of our analysis through Algor, SolidWorks and Pro/E as well and get results equivalent to the Inventor results.  It is all in properly setting up the analysis.
