ShrinkWrap file not any smaller, its much much larger!

I started with my file: AFX SLOT CAR.iam = 161KB. I "ShrinkWrapped" to AFX SLOT CAR SHRINKWRAP SUB.ipt and the file size is approx. 15 times bigger at 2385KB.  Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I tried multipe options within ShrinkWrap (surfaces, single body merged, solid body, separate solid bodies), and they all were vastly larger than the original assembly. So whats the point of shrinkwrap if it doesn't "shrink"?

An assembly is not an assembly without it's parts.

You need to add the file size of all the ipt files referenced by the iam to get the true size.

An iam file is simply a list of hyperlinks to the parts.

OK, so adding even some of the parts is indeed larger than the Shrinkwrap.

Thanks!
