Shrink wrap a different position rep

I would like to shrink wrap a sub assembly in two different position reps. It seems to me like you can only shrink wrap while in the Master position rep. Is there a way to shrink wrap in a different position rep?

Try the steps below:

1. Create Position Rep(new and activate position---Pos1/Pos2,select the position constraint then override, check on Suppresion=Enable, and input value)

2. Activate Pos1 or Pos2

3. Shrinkwrap

4. New Assembly->place Shrinkwrap file (using LOD->New Substitute->select part file)

Look at this!!:

I've made the position - one simple constraint changed, so that the seat is up...

But no matter what I do, the Shrinkwrap looks like this: 😞

The Shrinkwrap in Master position looks perfect.

No error message appears.

When choosing the shrinkwrap options, the Preview doesn't show any scattering of parts.

Hi! I have seen this behavior before. I vaguely remember it was fixed in later service pack or release. What release of Inventor are you on?

Thanks!

I found a solution!!! 😄

I opened up a new assembly - placed the seat assembly in the new assembly - then, I was able to create a shrinkwrap with no errors!

Weird - but it fixed my problem! 😄
