What is way to shell out Extrusion-1 by 8mm through to the the area created by Revolution-2.I could not get it to Shell

 

This is a 2013 part added to this post

I've got pretty much the same results as Walter. Just minor differences on the shell surfaces, but these are quick fixes, and patches. Why are you doing them as different bodies with combine and all?

I did Extrusion 1 ,2 & 8 as solids so i could shell out these 3 sections.It was the only way i could get the result

 

I have re-attached updated version - 2013......it worked

 

Would you created these 3 section differently to get them to be shelled?

Hmm...

 

Are you goint to cast this part? I have no experience with casts it so as ussual I might be taking out of my...

 

Here's another version... thicken surface with 0 offset and split trim solid with it. You will get cleaner shell, as extrusion 2 is not in the way anymore.
