Shell works on entire solid body.

You have two solid bodies.

You will have to Extrude Cut between the two.  (you might Combine first, depending on design intent)

I combined both solids and then made the cut.The cut out created is what i required but now i cannot get the fillet to work....Any thoughts on how to get the fillet-4 on the end to remove not add

Your logic doesn't make sense to me.
I think those fillets should be added before combine and I don't understand why you couldn't use shell?

Slice that feature in half and look at the wall thickness.
Shouldn't there be a fillet on inside as well?

That is why i asked for help. Why do you not post how you would accomplish this then

Yes you are correct  there should be a fillet on the inside....just did not get to that point yet as i was not sure if the correct flow path is being used

Thanks anyway

As I stated - I don't understand your design intent, but maybe this is something close to what you are after (see attached)?

Is Extrude Cut 4 in my example what you are after?

Hmm, tried to attach 3 times and don't see the attachment.

Finally worked with Chrome but not with IE.

Then delete it, or maybe you want to Offset Surface 2mm or something and Extrude To the surface?
