I`m trying to shell out the Neck on this volute but it does not work with the Shell feature. What can i do to get the Neck (sweep 1 ) to be Shelled out?

The version attached is 2013

Thanks

IJC

Perhaps this way ..

Walter

The Shell commands works on an entire solid body - not just a feature.

Either - create that geometry first in your history tree and shell before creating the rest of the geometry

or

create that geometry as multi-body solids so that it can be shelled (you can then Combine if desired, but it looks to me like that should be multi-body anyhow).

Hmmmp, looks like Walter modeled the solution while I was typing.
