Sheetmetal drawing not displaying threads

Hello,
I have a sheetmetal part which I am creating a drawing for. The Sheetmetal part has threaded holes in it, but when you create the drawing view (hidden lines on) off of the flat pattern the threads will not show up. The "thread feature" is checked but greyed out when you RMB on the view. Any ideas how to show the threads?
I have searched the forum but I cannot find any topics on this. Any ideas?

thanks

Not sure which version you are on, but older versions required all sheet
features to be placed from the sheet environment. If you placed a work
feature that was from the standard environment and not the sheet
environment, it might not show up on the flat layout.

Hi,

Which version of Inventor do you use? Can you post your part file and
drawing file?

Thanks,

Jun

We are using Inventor 11, and I think from what I found in the help index is this: (the last sentence spells it out)

Plan how to show features in flat patterns

Avoid extruding cut features at an angle to a face or placing chamfers or fillets on the edges of a cut feature. Angled cuts may appear only as lines or arcs in a flat pattern.

When the sketch of a sheet metal part is not aligned to the x or y axis, the flat pattern view is not vertical or horizontal. Right-click the flat pattern, select Align Vertical or Horizontal, and then select an edge of the flat pattern to realign the part in both the flat pattern and drawing view.

Create iFeatures of 3D features such as lofts and sweeps so they are shown in 3D on flat patterns and in drawing views. Create the feature and extract as an iFeature, and then place on the top or bottom face of the sheet metal part.

To ensure successful representation of the feature in the flat pattern, avoid creating unused sketches in the iFeature.

If the flat pattern is created from the wrong face, right-click the flat pattern in the browser and click Select Base Face. Click the desired face.

Bitmap representations of threads are not visible in a flat pattern.
