Can somebody take a look at the picture attached and tell me whats the best way to make tabs on a rolled round ring. I got it done using unfold/refold option but I can not get sheet metal flat.
Let me know if there is a good method for getting this done.
Thank You

Maybe something like this?
You never stated what version of Inventor you are using.

if you don't mind please list all method u know.
thank you very much
Can you post more of a detailed explanation as to how you made that part?
I am a sheet metal novice for sure, and am not entirely sure how you made that part. That is exactly what I am working on currently and getting nowhere fast.
Thanks,

Q1. What version of Inventor?
Q2. Can you attach your *.ipt attempt here?
Inventor 2016 | .ipt attached.
I have tried unfold and refold. I have tried a few other things. In the end, I was hoping for something clean and that shows up in the flat pattern.
I am hoping to get the tabs 120 degrees apart with slotted 5/16" clearance holes on a 85mm bolt circle.

The part you attached is very different than the example in this thread.
I'm not trying to be difficult. The part I am trying to make looks very much like what you gave as the answer to OP. The differences are only a result my own inexperience with sheet metal and how to go about making a part as such in Inventor.
I don't know what I did 5 years ago - I think I must have fudged, but nobody called me out on it.
