SHEET METAL // Flat patterns appear as dashed lines in IDW

Can someone tell me why this flat pattern of a sheet  metal part appears with dashed lines in the IDW ? Attached is the part.

I have had the same. I get just the bend line. If I turn on hidden lines then the shape shows as hidden lines. Maybe the front side is not showing but the back will, turning the view to the backside does not work. The only thing I found that works is rebuilding the ipt file as suggested.

The one this morning are new files, but I did make mirror ipts. We layout our drawings with all the parts on one so I did not try to flat pattern the mirrors. Three of five flat patterns gave me this issue. Most of the time I do not have the issue, hence I had to search for the answer again, until it becomes ingrained. I am using 2020.3.

Hi David,

The behavior is certainly wrong. I vaguely remember we had a bug before. It was resolved in one of the updates and later releases. Please install 2020.5 update. Does Manage -> Rebuild All on the part help? If not, please send the files to me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better.
