I've got that horrible default background and color scheme settings every time I open a new file. I have to save the application options and import everytime I open a file. This is getting verty old. How do I get my application options so become the default. Until 2013 I didn't have a problem w/ this. I've got 2014 pro and it gives me more grief.

It sounds like you don't have the correct (read/write) permission for your registry. Also do you have the latest service packs installed for Inventor 2014?
