I would like to set a dimension (diameter) on a round edge, see attachment. But I want to get the original one (before the rounding). Is there a trick to do this quickly?
If I understand what your trying to do, you want to dimension the diamter at your zero position before the edge is rounded, correct?
Wouldn't you simply use the intersection option when placing the dimension. You pick the first line (either the horizontal line or one of the tapered lines) and then rmb and selection "intersection" and select the other line. Do the same for the other intersection point. A dimension will be placed from two phantom corners.
