Serious bug in SP1 that better get fixed in v8

I repeatedly have to revert back to original v7 from SP1 because SP1 has introduced a constrain-then-crash-to-desktop bug. Can someone give me any assurance that this problem is going to be addressed?! I sent a file in to autodesk and all I got as a reply was "we can't reproduce the problem" yet multiple people at our facility are experiencing it.

Our concern is that if v8 doesn't fix this we are going to abandon Inventor for SolidWorks. It takes me twice as long to get things done in Inventor then it used to in SolidwWorks because of all the work arounds I have to do to get around bugs. This particular bug is a show stopping bug. I can't believe we are the only ones seeing it.

Please don't answer this with simplistic reload the program answers, because this is obvious to us as a work around. Reload SP1 again and BAM! same error. Solution for us, original version more stable with constraints then SP1.

thanks,

Perhaps if you could post an example to CF, then
you can get more feedback as to whether it's just your installations or if it
happens to a wider sampling.  In my experience, if Autodesk cannot
reproduce it, it means:

A. It more than likely won't be fixed

B. It doesn't mean it isn't a real
issue.

What bugs did SP1 solve for you?

I'm on base IV.  I only install a SP if
it solves something for me.  If I install it and I have problems, I go
back.  No big deal.  I don't HAVE to use the latest SP.  Heck,
I'm on Windows 2000 SP2!!

Why don't you post a file and tell us what you do
to get a crash.  If we can reproduce it, then you have a bug.  Maybe
together we can get Autodesk more information.

Trying to help.

Rui
