I work with inv 2012 and zoom with the Space Pilot of 3d Connexion.
If I zoom in or out and I come with my cursor over an object the view of Select Other comes out and I keep hanging in the zoom and I can not use more zoom in or out.
I have tried to deselect Select Other but I can not unless I uncheck the wrong button.
Do this under Application Options - General-Selection.
I wonder if this is the Space Pilot or Inventor.
Have the latest drivers installed.
Has anyone experience with this?.

Thank you for reporting this.
I’m tried times as you said, but I failed to reproduced it. Would you please give more information, such as snapshot or video, so that I can continue to investigate more on this problem?
Thanks!
Maybe you need SP1 - issues addressed in Select Other tool

Also click Calibrate on your 3DConnexion Control Panel.
I recommend you calibrate at the beginning of each day or when any problem with user interface occurs.
(particularly if you try to resize the browser and it responds very slowly)
I have already installed SP1 and i did calibrate but that makes no difference.
I made a small movie and made a print screen.
Every time i go over an object white my cursor the zoom action white my space pilot stops.
Here is the link where you can down load the file Zoom where the movie and print screen is in.
Try updating your mouse drivers.
After i instaled inv 2012 i instaled also a new mouse driver, this was an beta driver:http://www.3dconnexion.com/supported-software/3dxlabs/3dxlabsapp.html?tx_sugar3dxsoftware_pi1[app_id...
Now i instaled a new driver the problem is over.
This is a bug for 3d Connexion.
