see thru in idw

i have a fixture that has a clear lexan box that is used as a cover. no
problem seeing thru the box in the model, but in the idw the box hides
everything inside it. the box is on a hinge, so i can put it in the opened
position and show everything in the idw, but that's a work around for what i
really want to do.

is there a way to make the box see thru in the idw?
if not, is there a way in R6?

Go into Properties for the file and make it Reference. In R6 it is on the
occurrence tab. It makes the part show up in dotted lines and you are able
to see what is behind it.

and he's doing a mighty fine job too. my theory is, if my question goes
unanswered for an entire day (which hasn't happened yet), then i'll do the
unthinkable and cross post it to IV6 and then everyone will know that i'm
still stuck on IV5 . until then i'll behave and keep my questions back
here 😉

I'd be around before then but Kent is "Mr. Johnny-on-the-spot" and I never
get a chance to answer 🙂

Everytime I go to this DG, you guys like kent and Sean D. are always here.
Just wondering what kind of companies allow you guys being here all of the
time? Do you guys have anything else to do at work instead ???
