Have you looked at the Task Scheduler?  You can export a number of DWG files to DXF in it.

You could also use some of the sample VB code in the Programming Help to create a button that would export all of your open DWG files to DXF.

It is in the Start -> All Programs -> Autodesk -> Inventor 2012 -> Tools folder.

To open Task Scheduler, click Start >Programs> Autodesk >Autodesk Inventor (version) >Tools >Task Scheduler.

I have 2011 version of inventor.

Maybe I have not installed it yet. When I bought Inventor allmost a year ago and installed it I didnt use all discs because my computer didnt ask every disc. Can that be the reason why I dont find it?

Yes! I finally founded the task scheduler and I solved my problem. I also founded how I print pdf:s...I use pdf printer for that.

This was a really good help:

I have still one problem...when I export my idw to dxf task scheduler makes the name like example.idw.dxf. Can anyone help me how do I delete the idw from the file name?

Can anyone help me with this file name problem??

File name comers "example.idw.dxf" and I want it to be "example.dxf". Am I doing something wrong?

Hi niko.machos,

You're not doing anything wrong, this is just how Task Scheduler works.

When publishing files Task Scheduler (TS) keeps the original file name and appends it with the .dxf extension. The reason for this is so that it can write out multiple files of the same name, but having different file extensions, without overwriting files. For instance, I might have 11-004.ipt, and 11-004.idw. If TS were to write the file out without the original extension (11-004.dxf) for the .ipt file, it would then be overwritten when the .idw is saved as 11-004.dxf also.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

Then I just have to get used to it.

Option for the original file name writing would be great. It seems that the world and Inventor is not still ready.

Thanks of your help!
